Went fishing this weekend and couldn’t figure out why I kept losing fish and flies. Determined my tippet must have gone bad from living in my dry box as it’s all FAR weaker than I remember it being. What is the latest greatest? Need probably 2-6x. I’ll be bringing it into the house from now on. TIA PFA

Cortland is good, so is sa
I’ve been very happy with Scientific Angler leaders and tippet
6 lb. test mono – like infinity yards for $5 bucks
Cortland premium is my favorite. I’ve had hooks bend out on the 6x… if 6x is stronger than metal, I’m sold.
TroutHunter and Scietific Anglers for me
SA, cortland, trout hunter for tippet. The seagull and maxima recs are solid as well. Anything but orvis. Love orvis, but their tippet is not good.
I’ve had good luck with Rio and switched to Umpqua, no issues yet and I’m the lazy type to forget to change my tippet after I’ve banged it up.
Tried orvis mirage and had horrible luck, I was snapping them constantly when tying flies on 4x to 6x.
I just use 4x now. Even in gin clear water it’s just fine.
Trout Hunter tippet and leader for me.
