My betta has this white sort of “build up” or something towards the base of his top fins close to his body. I don’t know if it’s just his color or what it could be
He’s had it since we got him, but I didn’t pay mind to it at first because he seemed fine and I could only see it from one side of his body so I figured it was just a shine or something. But I got a good look at it today and I’m nervous that it could be something bigger.
Those white specs that look like they’re on his body are just on the tank glass I’ve gotten a good look at his body and there’s nothing on anything but his fin

I’m not 100% certain but I think what you’re seeing is just scales. Is the ‘buildup’ iridescent by chance? Changes color depending on how the light hits it?
