Instantly got emotionally attached and had to take him home. Never had a betta, but after a few days of research there’s so many things I’d do differently for the poor guy. I’ve been keeping an eye on the 0.75 gallon’s water quality. Planning on redoing his aquascape. Hoping to put him in the new tank, but the water is still too cold. Anyway, meet Puppy.

What is it with people giving live pets as gifts without planning with the recipient lately? It’s like dumping a baby on someon to raise with no warning- they are completely reliant on you. Thank goodness they don’t cost quite as much as a baby though.
Good on you for doing research!
Having a pothos (or is that philodendron hard to tell in the lighting?) roots in there is a good help for sucking up ammonia (or nitrates once cycled).

Heres a condensed care sheet that should be able to act as essentially a list for you. Good luck!
