I've been to my local lake michigan harbor twice now but no luck.
The first time I put on a mono leader and threw worms on a bobber and just waited.
The second one I casted using spinners and a spoon for a bit, then switched to worms on straight braid (got my leader snagged off)
Meanwhile all the people here were hanmering trout left and right. Hell, one of them was like the length of my leg
I'm planning on buying fluorocarbon and using that as leader from now on. Other than that, what should I do/use to actually catch a brown trout?

Also, talked to a few guys there. A couple of them were using spawn sacs. Do artificial eggs work? I also have a jar of powerbait from last summer. Are they useful too?
