Betta Fish: He is going to get himself killed

I have this overly confident blue shrimp. He’s a smaller one, but he’s hanging around the bettas floating log… right where he sleeps… I wish I could somehow warn the shrimp to not go there but I’m afraid his days are numbered. It’s sad because I like this little blue guy and he is good about cleaning scraps.
