Excuse the shoddily cropped photos, but here's a 16 day progression of fin rot treatment. These photos were taken under the same lighting, and directly before his daily water change.

I got this little dude from a LFS when he was already ill. He's a (presumed) veil tail. I started treatment in a bare bottom 3.5 gallon cube tank, with aquarium salts. He has an air stone and a heater, (set to 75°f) and he gets 50% water changes every day with RO water, water conditioner, and aquarium salts.

He gets three bug bites every day as well, starting day five because he felt well enough to eat. Any food pellet he didn't eat was immediately removed with a syringe.

I also throw some frog bit in there for him to sleep on, and just throw it away every few days and replace with a new bunch. Just thought the progression was cool, and also just wanted people to know how "slowly" fin rot heals.

When he's all better, (hopefully just two more weeks or so, going on the rate he's been healing) he'll move to my planted and cycled 10 gallon.
