This is a temporary tank until I get a lid for my 5 gallon tank (this weekend). We just found him at a pet store where he was only $4. Seeing that price made me pretty upset. And the setup was horrendous for all the Bettas there. A wide, rectangular, plastic container with 7 bits of duckweed. At least the water was clean. But there was no way I could leave him there.

As soon as we got him into this temp setup he instantly was zipping around for about two whole hours until he was tired. He's so much happier and already showing his personality.

He sat for 24 hours in low, indirect light, only started feeding him after I knew he could handle food without stress. He seems very friendly and super curious.

Hell even our cats love watching him zip around. We always make sure to supervise them when around either setup, but honestly the fish are so interested in them too!

We also have another Betta tank (10 gallon) with our other guy Penumbra (mustard Betta). We are hoping to one day have several Bettas as a hobby.

They're my first fish ever and I feel like I've really got a knack for this. So I felt comfortable enough to nab this cutie in blue to give him a real chance at life.

Still gotta name him, but he's only been with us for two days now so we're gonna figure it out sooner or later!

Just really wanted to share this feel good story.
