So the ugly stick gx is my grandpa's old one that I've been told will never break and my new gx 2 which has the same thing said I'll use both I just need to make a good combo and a better combo so I want to know if I should use for wich

I pulled up an entire tree off a creek bed with a 5.5ft old school GX. It bent past the U shape and stayed strong and never even crackled. It’s an incredibly good rod.
That said, I was able to break a GX2 over my knee out of frustration one day after being out all day in the sun and skunked. I was surprised how easily I could break it. Not as good.
