Just wanted to thank all of you for your comments and help when I first set up my tank and posted. Happy to report that Bluey the betta and Bingo the mystery snail have become friends and are thriving. They now have three live plants in the tank and I will eventually replace the remaining silk ones with real ones over the next month or so. I got the API master test kit as someone suggested and have been very diligent about testing and water changes. When is the tank fully cycled? I’ve had it about six weeks now. The water quality seems like it has improved; it stays cleaner, longer. I was warned about Bingo’s massive bio-load and I have to say I was still not fully prepared for how much this thing poops! Guess that’s what the turkey baster is for.

Awesome job! ❤️👍
Usually fish in cycling takes 4-8 weeks.
Yes those snails poop a lot. 10g is recommended to help dilute the ammonia their poor produces (that end sup as nitrates once tank is fully cycled).
And if you think they are poop monsters don’t ever get a pleco
