Hi, I got my betta, Batman, about six months ago and all of a sudden this just happened today. I don't know if this has happened before since he is kept in my brother's room and I'm only in here using his desk because he's out of town. I would just assume it's poop and medicate but I'm not sure because there looks like there is some sort of film connecting it… I'm not sure, if anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it since he's my first betta. Thank you.
Edit: he also has been flaring his gills often, I don't know if that adds anything but thanks!

As far as I know that’s poop. It usually doesn’t string but it prolly has something to do with fibers or sum. I would research what you’re feeding him if you don’t know what’s in it. If you don’t know, daphnia is really good for their digestive system.
