So I have an established planted 10 gallon with large cherry shrimp, I’ve been wanting to add a betta for awhile but I’ve been anxiously avoiding it (my LFS keeps their bettas with shrimp so the temperaments are usually good!)… I guess my questions are 1. Is my tank appropriate for a betta? 2. What is the best food? (I have multiple saltwater tanks so we keep frozen food in stock here especially mysis and brine, but saw bettas need flakes/pellets) 3. Do I need a bubbler or is that optional? 4. What can I do to get rid of bladder snails and the hair algae that came out of nowhere? 🥲
(I do have suction cup leaf rests if I end up getting a betta!)

Tank stays at 75°, I do have a filter and heater. Water parameters have been stable for MONTHS! Tank has been running since July 31st, weekly water changes at least 25% (50% every other week). I have 6 large cherry shrimp, and live plants. I feed shrimp cuisine (hikari) 2-3 times a week (only a couple pellets a feeding, and remove leftovers after about 1-2hrs)

I had a bladder snails infestation and bought a yoyo loach and it cleaned them right out but they also love shrimp I also had a planted tank with plenty of shrimp 10 gal and added my betta and he definitely ate some shrimp he has a great temperament but with any fish if it fits in its mouth it could become food
