So after about 10 years with a tank I decided it's time to set one up again. I managed to get my hands on a 1.2m long; 0.3m high; 0.5m deep tank. It apparently was used as a tank for photo shoots for an aquarium store. So it always held water but never really any fish.
It's perfect for what I have in mind. The picture is not mine. But I'm going for this look. If it ever looks close to this I'll be very happy.
Anyway I planning to put about 50-60 Cardinal Tetras in it. I've always wanted a Betta but since I had other fish that would pick on him I never did get one and I want they guy to swim freely and not be stuck in a floaty.
Now Tetras are basically little predators. And I was wondering if they are in a bigger school. Would they start nipping on a Betta?
How many of you have a betta swimming with other fish?

  1. I would not suggest to keep a Betta in a Iwagumi layout. If you want to go for this style of tank then you will be okay with just the Tetras.
