His breathing was much faster last night. we did a 30% water change, and it got slower this morning. not sure if I'm just paranoid or the breathing seems to be picking up again. water parameters are optimal but we're getting new test kits to be sure. he has 3 bichirs in the tank with him and some feeder fish. we're fasting him for now. he's not gasping or going to the surface a lot. but he's been going after the feeder fishes (about 10 tiny ones) the whole day.

Looks like he’s back to normal but keep watch for another couple days for any irregularities. Arowana can have some wild diseases
Unrelated but, I’ve never been into arowana but this video is changing my mind, gorgeous fish.
