Hi! Three days ago I got what (I think) it's the youngest betta I've ever owned. I think he is young based on the overall look of the guy: slender and shorter body of about three centimeters (1.2 inches); and smaller head. And this guy is the craziest Betta I've had. He does explore the nooks and crannies of the tank occasionally; but he does it with a sense of rage that I've never seen before. The rest of the time he glass surfs; which I think that it's because he's new to the tank. In comparison; I got a plakat Betta at the same time; he is also glass surfing with with much more chill (see video on the comments). So the questions are: is he actually young? 2) could his behavior be because of his age?
Tank description: 5gallons; temperature: 25 C/77 F; pH:7.5-8; ammonia: 0 ppm ; nitrite:0 ppm; nitrate: 5 ppm. Tank mates: 5 ember tetras; 2 nerite snails and lots of ramhorn and bladder snails
