Aquariums: PetSmart sold me this as a bamboo shrimp
I picked up this shrimp yesterday and the tag clearly said "Bamboo Shrimp." But now that it's in my tank, it doesn't look like the bamboo shrimp I've seen online (no big fan arms for filter feeding).

It looks like a crawfish😐
ETA: This wasn’t written to say that it is a crawfish, it’s literally just saying it looks like one. And if y’all don’t know that crawfish can look like this, here’s a white specter crawfish.(In the replies below 👇)

I literally see his fans in the picture, they’re just closed. He is pretty opaque, I don’t think he’s feeling too well. If you just got him, give it some time and keep an eye on your high-flow areas.

Thats a bamboo shrimp. Fans may be closed or damaged or even both

If his fans are closed that means he’s been digging through your substrate, meaning there is either no ledge or comfortable spot for them near a flow area- or there isn’t enough flow for them to collect or eat anything.
