Hello, fellow betta lovers. I will be putting a lot of things in this post, so bear with me. First off, this is pebbles. I got her at Petco a few months ago. She was part of a shipment that ended up getting doubled(so my "local" petco had over 100 bettas). The guy who works there(who is a hobbiest, and who cares deeply about fish well being) knew that I had been setting up tanks for bettas and asked me if I could take this girl(along with another male betta) off his hands. These bettas got immensely sick in the cups, and he ended up moving them in with the cories and the bristlenose pleco tanks, respectively. His manager was pissed and told him it was against yada yada policy. Anyways, I ended up with a petco betta with questionable lineage. She now lives in a 10g tank. She has colored up immensely in the months since I have gotten her. She was very pretty when I got her, but she didn't have any of the "mermaid" scales as I like to call them. I am just wondering whether you guys think she will continue to get more of these? The first/second picture is today, and it gets further and further back with each one, the final being the day I brought her home. On a side not, she doesn't have a spinal curve she is just flicking her tail in the 1st picture. Also, she has stripes with the same color that light up when the light hits them right and she is mesmerizing. Is she truly a female koi? Or something else entirely? Also, as a side note, I have been calling her lady liberty because she was initially copper and is now turning blue/green lol.
