I got what I thought was a nice new Frabill tilt. The flag keeps going off without the spool triggering it. I’m not sure if the flag rod is too rigid and putting too much tension on the flag mechanism, but it seems stiffer than most of my other flags. Some are newer, some are over 30 years old. Before I bend anything on this new setup, I figured I’d ask if anyone has had any issues similar. The photo shows the top hook about center but the bottom part at about 45 degrees left from bottom or 730 on a clock. This is where it was holding for a bit and then it just flagged up. Moved barely a c hair. If the top hook is all the way right (closed) the bottom is 45 right (430 clock). If I gently let the tension off the top hook it might stay for a few seconds but as soon as you breathe or move and the top goes past 6 on the clock, it triggers. The flag rod seems to be pulling too hard but not sure if I should bend the top hook or what.

Thanks in advance for any input. Sorry for any confusion. I was drinking and tinkering in my garage and figured I’d ask for some help before I snapped anything and trashed it.
