I was in the restaurant lobby with ten other people — on their phones — while I kept these guys company 💔 I found them curious and interactive. But I was like damn, no sand or plants or anything 😭😭? It's hard to imagine them having a good time in there.
Someone dragged them for this tank in a review already and I wanted some thoughts before adding to it.

absolutely over packed and they leave it simple to make it easy to clean usually
I mean realistically they are probably doing massive and frequent water changes. So they’re probably healthy, those are parrots (I think?) and they look good, obviously not ideal for swimming space but they seem fine. Those are generally pretty expensive fish so I doubt they are neglecting them. Asian cultures are usually pretty good with fish from what I’ve seen. I don’t see the point in dragging a small business over this, seems excessive. If the tank was full of dead fish and they didn’t look as good as they do maybe I’d consider saying something but not in a review for the business itself, majority of the population don’t know or care about fish care so seeing it mentioned in a review that they are likely looking at to see how the food or service is seems pointless
they never give a crap… it should be animal abuse
Is it ideal? No. Is it worth leaving a bad review over? Also no.
Look like parrot cichlids. People overstock cichlids to defuse aggression and my understanding is they uproot plants? They look cared for so probably okay, I wouldn’t drag them.
☹️
Looks clean and healthy. I would eat there and enjoy watching their fish.
Overcrowding for sure, but looks very clean. So I mean, it could be worse for sure.
We got parrot cichlids, arowana, and….pacu?
You sure they’re not there just waiting to be served to a customer?
There are two ways to own pets. You can do the bare minimum for them to be “healthy”, or you can do your best for them to also be happy. Yeah sure maybe they do enough water changes and maybe the fish can’t be aggressive because they are too overwhelmed, but this does not look like a nice place to live
One thing I will say is that those are some healthy looking fish…
