Broke my first rod… wondering what you guys would suggest i do. I broke it whipping a 110 sp minnow luckycraft lure out inshore out in the surf on straight 20 lb braid. Toss it?

Yea, time for a new rod. Your gonna want to look at the casting weight on the rods and find one that can cast the stuff you want to cast

I would get a new rod and reflect carefully about what I did wrong to break the last one. Not that I have much experience with that. But, in over 4 decades of fishing, I’ve never broken a rod…

Does it still have the plastic on the cork?

It looks new so probably see if its still got a warranty on it
