Against my better judgment, I listened to the petsmart person and dosed my betta tank for a week with Bettafix. My sweet boy passed away very shortly after I stopped using the product and I ran to the internet to find out about the tea tree oil suffocating labyrinth fish. I feel so sad and guilty. I will never use that product again.
With that said, how long should I wait to put another betta in? I did a 50% water change after I removed my fish. Then did another 20% change a few days later.
It’s a heavily planted tank with a snail in it also. 5 gallon Fluval

I would do another couple of 50% water changes just to be safe. Do you have a HOB filter that you removed the carbon filter from? If so, put that back in and it should help. (Is it carbon or charcoal filter? I cant remember lol)
