My poor boy, Vincent Van Gough (Vincent or Vince for short) died today. He got dropsy, and saddly passed while I was gone today. He was a veiltail.
He was the best boy, and the one i have had the longest. Got him right after hurricane Helen, and he has been through the ringer (he was my first betta since i was like 5yrs and kept them im bowls bc thats what my parents said was ok… and I was still learning.)
He was the calmest, no cares to give fish. He lived happily in a community tank, and lived happily by himself. He was the best boy! The only time he flared was at another betta, he was perfectly OK with endlers, bright colored guppies, and anyone else! He even lived in harmony in a 10gal tank with a female when I tried breeding them lol.
He will be missed, and I hope he is swimming amongst out other lost fin babies under the rainbow bridge! SIP Vincent Van Gough! Swim free, and make friends with my late girl Sapphire.
P.S. on a different note, Sapphire was the best girl, and wouldnt even flare at another betta male, or female lol. She was a halfmoon.

I’m sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is so tough and I know that it can be hard to not feel guilt or remorse. It sounds like Vincent had a great life though and all I can say is cherish those good memories and always keep a place in your heart and mind for them. ❤️
Im so sorry for your loss 💔
