I'm just wondering if my setup is correct or I should just use a bare hook, I also plan on attaching a nitro worm to the hook

That spinnerbait is meant to be cast out and reeled back in. A bobber rig is meant to cast and let sit (or drift naturally with the current). So in short, no, that’s not rigged correctly. A plain hook and worm under the bobber would be correct, or you can ditch the bobber and fish the spinnerbait by casting and reeling.

  2. There are plenty of ways of bobber fishing. I have not seen the use of a spinnerbait and a bobber yet. It doesn’t mean it won’t work, but a spinnerbait is usually fished with a direct Palomar knot tie with a paddle tail plastic on the hook. Bobbers for me are usually used for worm fishing or even maybe getting your suspended baits out further. I was bored one day and put a small crainkbait out on a bobber and seemed to work fine and caught maybe 6 or 7 bass that day.

Ditch the bobber. It will negatively affect the movement and depth of the lure.

If you want the lure to stay higher in the water column you can, to a degree, reel faster, and use a lighter weight lure. Also, round larger Colorado blades like you have on will produce more lift.

If you want to keep the bobber and use artificials, use a small jighead under the lure and rig up a small minnow style bait.
