In continuation of my last post, Sushi is doing better! Thank you everyone for the help and advice! He’s now swimming around again and isn’t as lethargic, but i’ve noticed these slightly red spots on the tips on his fins which weren’t there last night. I just changed his water less than 24 hours ago, and tested it this morning (no ammonia, nitrite, nitrate). Could this be a stress response?
I do have methylene blue and salt if it needs to be treated. Should i just keep the water clean and monitor him or should i treat him? Should i change even more water?
Please look at my previous post for context…

I would hold off on doing anything for the moment. Just monitor him. It might be that the tea hurt his fins a little. If you see any deterioration, you could try treating with salt or methylene blue. Just keep in mind that the methylene blue will kill all bacteria, the good and the bad. So if he’s not in a hospital tank, I wouldn’t add the methylene blue. You could also try getting almond leaf extract, since that’s a good antifungal and antibacterial. Usually, pet stores/fish stores sell it, or they sell the actual almond leaves. Best of luck!
