The drag knob is not setting down no matter how much I turn it. I could turn it 50 times and it pops right off. Anyone know the issue and how to fix it?

If I remove the spool and try to tighten the drag knob directly on the post, it tightens but with the spool it won’t

The cap isn’t engaging with the threads? How do the threads look inside the cap?
