I have a 2.9m fishing kayak and I think awnings for shade are interesting and useful. I fish in southern Spain (long days in the sun) and summer temperatures are high. Until now, I've protected myself with UV-protective clothing and splashed myself with water. I'm thinking about getting an awning for more comfort (in addition to clothing), but I don't know if it will be very useful or if it will get in the way of fishing with the rods, and I can't find any real reviews. Could you give me your opinion on them for summer?

My wife said she loves it, but she doesn’t fish much. I asked if it would get in the way of casting and she without hesitation said yes.
Unless you wanna just cast little flicks, just gear up with UV clothing and you’ll be good… That’s what I do
