Difference between a vintage Ambassadeur and a Modern Ambassadeur
The first picture is a 6601SX which is made in China and is the modern one. The second picture is a 5000 which was made in Sweden and is the vintage reel.

Plastic parts like crazy.
How much do you have to pay for a reel to expect that the parts are truly quality? I’d be ok with high performance plastic which does not compromise.
