I'm cleaning out my partner's mom's garage and I don't know anything about fishing but these rods look… old, but in okay condition. I don't know if it's common to restore fishing rods or if having a bunch is good but I was wondering from fisher's perspective, if I wanted to sell them on a marketplace, how much would be a fair price? I'm not thinking it's hundreds of dollars but if it would be swiped up by someone who's into old rods for like 50-100 dollars then that would be great. Thank you for the help!

Those aren’t particularly old or valuable rods from what I can see, but they’re decent.

Just Google the make and model of each one, list them for 60 percent of msrp and people will buy em. That clarus is about 100 bucks new.

  2. Without researching the current price of each rod I would price them $5 each.

If you do go through the trouble of looking up current prices I would price any rod under $50 as $5, ones $50-100 at $10. Any rod over $100 I would do no more than half MSRP.

The problem is you don’t know the state of those rods. There can be fixes, pieces replaced, not to mention a serious posibility of having micro-fissures.
