First time using/spooling a baitcaster after using spinning reels exclusively for over a decade… Went with 40lb braid to 15lb fluoro on new 7' medium heavy rod.
Also my first time tying an FG knot… 1st attempt slipped when I went to tighten but I think I got it right on the follow up.
I expect to completey screw the line up at least 1-2x while I learn to use this thing and am prepared with extra line…
That said, does everything look right enough that I just need to worry about casting mechanics now, or are there any obvious flaws with my work?!
