I’m on the tightest drag setting and line is still coming out relatively easily. Did I break it? Anyway to fix this or prevent it in the future? Definitely think I did something wrong but any help would be appreciated.

Try adjusting the spool tension. The small black knob below the drag and directly beside the spool.

Looks like your on the loosest drag setting to me tighten it down the other way and try pulling the line out.

Is your line tied tightly around the spool? Usually it’s a problem you see with braid, but it could happen with mono too… if the line is so loose around the spool it can cause all of the line to slip around the spool even if the spool is locked down with drag.

Left hand reel should tighten the drag to the left and loosen it to the right. I fish both and the first time got me too.
