I’m new to bettas/fish in general. My son got a betta as a Christmas present along with this 5 gallon tank. I’ve been watching all the videos and reading as much as I could but I keep getting mixed results when asking if his tank is too crowded. All the plants are real except for the betta leaf hammock and the inside of the terra cotta pot & the floating log is lined with real moss from petsmart.

Tank is fine as is imo, if you remove anything maybe the terracotta pot as it is quite large, make sure the wood is nice and smooth for his finds can always sand it.
I see you’re feeling 2x a day that’s quite a bit of food for a small tank and a small fish. There stomach is incredibly small like size of their eyeball or less. 3 to 5 betta pellets a day and he should be very full. Bettas are prone to bad bloat overfeeding will make this worse.
Looks good! Add a snail if you don’t have one yet!
