I got a kit that came with everything, but the filter is really strong and it pushes my fish all around so I blocked half of it with something to have less motion. Then go whatever reason after two weeks that just stopped working. So I filled the tank up all the way and since it wasn’t pushing the floating betta log or thermometer around I figured the filter had just adjusted. Then today I start watching him swim and notice he’s not really swimming just being pushed around so I turned the filter off and now he only swims at the bottom šŸ™ I just want to cry and yes I know my plants are dying I’m buying Flourish tomorrow

  1. Mountain-Name753 on

He seems ok just weary. I would add a house for him to hide and some more plants. It doesn’t hurt. As for the filter, use a smaller one

  2. He does seem ok especially if he’s eating fine. I heavily recommend grabbing some Fluval Bio Foam and just smooshing it into the outflow of your filter to buffer how hard the flow is- this is what I’ve done for all of my tanks to diffuse the flow; it works like a charm & gives the good bacteria more surface space to grow on !
