Cleaned my 3 year old SLX DC for the first time + New Dobyns jig rod
Cleaned and oiled inside my reel and replaced broken worm gear on my severely abused Shimano SLX DC for the first time in 3 years now I’ll clean it and oil more often considering how easy it actually was

Hell yeah! We spend good money on nice gear and it’s so easy to just set it aside and buy something else. When a little oil and new grease will have that thing back to peering like a kitten.

Well that was nasty, lol. Good job cleaning it, hopefully you added a decent amount of reel grease to the gears before putting it back together. Glad you got your reel back in action!

How are those Dobyns Maverick rods? I see they’re pretty much always on sale on Amazon and I been thinking about picking one up for my jig rod.
