Betta Fish: are these redish / darker stripes normal?
first 2 pictures are when i first got him, it’s been over 100 days
looks like some of his fins have darker stripes
5 gallon tank with heater and filter

Your boy is developing color! This is often seen when the fish gets out of a cup and into a healthy, happy environment. It may continue to spread or not! Often white bettas will end up with beautiful large amounts of color! I think he will look awesome! Keep doing what you are doing!

Bettas often change colour during their first year of life due to age, and their colouration is also reflective of their health. My boy changed form a nearly fully white body to a whole blue body in 3 months
