How long is the life expectancy of a betta. The past week our 2 ours has barley been eating and is either sleeping on the top leaf at the surface or bottom. We’ve done water changes and everything. He used to always swim quicky anytime i’d feed him but lately he isn’t eating.

Pretty much end of life at that age. IMO.
They do like to chill! As long as he does swimmers to eat, say hi, sip air. Doing pretty good!
