I have 4 red thai crabs and some inbred guppies(i need to get rid of them some way) I also have some Java moss and fern with an anubis and some species of plant that may or may not be able to handle the salinity of the water but its been like this for the whole time ive had it(the tank is a week old)

A week is not old, give it time to settle. Also what kind of filtration system do you use? If its to strong it might sweep up some sand from the bottom.
