Ive caught smaller fish on larger baits.. no reason they wouldnt eat it

We used to catch huge walleye trolling for musky in lake st. Clair (6-8in baits going 4.5mph). Big freshwater predator fish will generally eat prey up to half their body length. As they get bigger they feed less often and on bigger meals.
