Advice welcome, mostly looking for unique names.
I was at the store this afternoon looking for some hideaways for my male betta, Taras (10 gallon, solo). Instead I found a female koi betta with a fungal infection and what looked like a swim bladder issue. I did what I tell other people not to do and impulsively took her home with me, since I have a small 1 gallon bowl I used when I was moving about a year ago.
I gave her cup a 75% water change since it was mostly fungal fluffs floating around her. Then added some conditioner and a sprinkle of aquarium salt and she's already swimming around as much as she can in the cup, holding herself up at the surface, and holding herself upright. The cup is sitting in the bowl, I'll see how well she's swimming tomorrow and maybe release her. The bowl is only half full right now since she's weak, I don't want her to have to work too hard to get to the surface. Gonna keep a close eye on her for a few days, let her get stronger, then look into getting her her own 5 or 10 gallon tank.

Using the cup itself for treatment is so smart I never thought of that
