I received this Redington field kit trout spey 4wt 11 ft 3 in for Christmas. I only used a few times but on the third fishing trip the tip broke. My question is would it be better to do the warranty route or would it be better to wait until far bank has my replacement tip in stock? Thanks folks!

I did a warranty replacement on a broken tip back in the spring and they charged me $50 since they determined the break was out of warranty. 🤷♂️ Process was easy and took about 3 weeks from the time I shipped.
The warranty is a pain for something like this, just email them and ask when they expect to restock those tips. Otherwise you’ll have to ship the whole rod. I did that when I lost my field kit tip
Whichever solution you find, you might consider buying a spare tip section when available so you don’t have down time in case it happens again. Which it will, the river gods being capricious.
