I had to euthanize my last betta the other day. And will be taking a break from getting more. I will focus on my plants in my tank and processing the deaths of my fish. It might sounds stupid but I’m a very empathetic person and love every living thing lol. Last night me and my boyfriend painted rocks the same colors as the bettas we’ve had and put them over our toilet. We will never forget them and how much joy they brought us every morning😭💜

I think the rocks are really beautiful. I have 3 passed fish I’m still figuring out how to honor them now that they’re gone
Just checking if the rocks being above the toilet is symbolic for flushing the dead fish? If so I want to let you know this isnt a good way to dispose of dead fish, in the future consider tossing them in a trash bin if preferred or try burying them (many people bury bettas in potted plants)
I completely get taking your time before getting another fish, I think it’s good to process and mourn until you’re ready for another one. I’m always so heartbroken when one of mine dies
