Should I get the larger tank or the shallow tank? I haven’t had fish in a long time. The last time I had fish, my family kept a generation of schooling fish in a very large tank (80+ gallons). This time I want to keep a betta short tail (probably) to try and avoid long tail health issues and I’m thinking about adding a mystery snail, rasboras, shrimp, and Otocinclus catfish. Which tank would be better for them?

I’d say the 10 gal for sure, the other tank seems to be around 6 gallons and thats only just scraping what’s enough for a betta nevermind the other guys you wanna add in. I’d even recommend looking for something in the ranges of 12-15 gallons to provide enough space for everything depending on how spicy your betta would be.
