I wanna make a colorful tank for my new rescue betta, Sugalite. That matches his colors. Ive been looking at tumbled amethyst but I heard it can have arsenic in it that can leech into the water

I don’t know about purple substrate but you can think planting bucephalandra purple species. It’s color matches your lovely betta
Try garnet sand. It mostly comes in reds, but there are purple varieties and it’s a trusted staple for bichir tanks.
