I had a BG2500 on it, rod has serious backbone, caught flounder inshore and is very versatile for freshwater. You’ll be good, tight lines.

Yup, perfect match! I had an HMG in exactly the same spec with a 2500 Nasci. Caught everything from perch to Musky with it. Lost it when it fell from my kayak at the rivermouth flowing into a deep lake.
