First off, is it that hard to do the most easy thing, wich is reeling in, with your non dominant hand? it seems very inefficient, you see them cast with their right hand then swap the rod to their left hand to reel. Youd think youd want to set the hook, fight the fish and give your lure action witbh your dominant hand. Is there some history to this or are yall just dumb

Not from NA, but that was my reasoning too. Winding takes little effort while casting takes a lot. So rod on dominant hand.
I’m from America and most people I know use a left hand retrieve
Depends what you’re fishing for. Some guys like my dad swear by the right handed reel on a bait caster, especially for bigger fish. Said that by the time he’s casting 100 times, a big fish will break his shoulder. So he casts with the right, then fights them with the left and reels right handed. Only on bait casters, not spinning reels.
What you are describing is specific to baitcasters only, not spinning reels. A spinning reel meant for a right handed person does come with the handle on the left as shown in your vid.
Depends on the reel. Spinning reel I reel with the left hand my dominant hand is my right. So I have more power to hook set and fight the fish better. Plus I have my hands trained I know it sounds weird but my left is brute force stuff. My right is for tactile things. Spincast reels I reel with my right. Cause slower gear ratio and I mostly use them to bait and wait fish. Baitcasters I’m new with but I have right handed but cast right and hold the rod in my left. Looking at getting a left handed one but will cast it with my right.
