With my shimano Sahara, when I reel in, and put a mild amount of pressure back on the reel, it spins backwards, but only sometimes. The little anti reverse flip isn’t “activated” I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem.

Take the spool completely off. Check for line in there. See if it spins with no spool. Oil everything and put it back together. That reel looks comically small. Is it a 500?

What exactly is the problem? that the reel moves slightly when you reel backwards?
If you really wanna learn, take the entire thing apart down to the last screw grease it up a d put it back together.

I brought a nexave caught bunch of fish it and on my next outing. The handle was hard to spin freely, I had give it of couple jolts to spin but once stop, it do the same again.

I found out that seal at the base of the shaft was pretty dry. couple drops of oil and feels brand new again. Give it a try.

Don’t just drop it on the floor.

Just so you know, doing this is probably screwing up your reel, with the anti reverse off you trying to jack the handle backwards randomly and abruptly while your reeling forward, is probably causing your anti reverse bearing to fail. If you do this a lot i’d imagine it’s the ARbearing
