I bought the set up specifically for when I go saltwater fishing, but I live nowhere near the ocean. I’ve been looking for a set up that lets me throw large baits.
This is the 8000 series. 10’ long. Gear ratio 4.9:1 drag is 55 pounds. And it can throw between 2 and 8 ounce lures.
I would like to target largemouth bass. Any insight on this would be very appreciated. I have never thrown anything over 1 ounce and I would love to start throwing larger lures.
