Slowly started growing after I bought him a few months ago, he doesn’t seem in pain or anything. How can I fix it?

I am not an expert so def get a 2nd opinion, but my first guess would be a tumor? As long as its benign and not in a bad place (pushing against eyes or gills) then he should be fine. If it is a tumor, I’m pretty sure there’s nothing you can do abt it but just make sure it’s not impacting his daily life. If it’s not and he’s okay then you should have nothing to worry abt

  2. It looks like a fungus hyphae. You can google it. You can get rid of it with methylene blue dips for 10 minutes at a time. Also it can be a bacterial fungus. Which you can add kanaplex in your tank per directions. Aquarium salt also is needed. Fungus does not like salt. Do research. Look up and watch videos. My fish had one in almost the same place. Also you have to do water changes as your tank has to stay clean. It is held onto the fish by almost a glue like substance. The methylene blue kills the fungus and glue. Yes it could possibly be something else but it looks just like my fish

  3. A couple of other things. Fungus hyphae can get big. Some of what you see on the Internet they look flat, but those are in the beginning.. my husband used to say my fish was carrying a backpack. Also do not use hydrogen peroxide.. some places will tell you to do that. It will burn their gills, and they will only live through it.. methylene blue is the safest way and it does get rid of it. I hope that’s it. Good luck.
