Got this beautiful Koi Betta about 2 weeks ago, her fins seem like they are turning black on the tips. I know they have the marbling gene so her colors change. Any opinions ?

Parameters have been great, 0 ammonia and nitrite, nitrate has been around 10 ppm. 10 gallon tank at 76 degrees.

I think it might just be her color coming in. My first fish was a koi and he had some black in the spots that were previously clear. (Tried to find a good/newer picture but this is all I got lol)
Looks good to me . Do take lots of photos – that’s the one “”downside”” to koi, trying to keep track of all new colours, spots.
Rule of thumb though- energetic , eating well, then more likely growth than illness ,
still – keep lots of photos to keep track of bumps and spots, so if you will need vets help- you will know if the spot is 2 days, 2 weeks , or 2 months old

Colour coming in, she’s beautiful. I’m a big fan of koi bettas, they are stunning and change colours throughout their lives!
