Ok folks heres the story, i found this topfin aquarium on the curb and couldnt help myself. The background is a plastic enclosure for the filter etc.

My trouble is that its getting harder and harder to keep the back clean, looking for ways to not fully empty the tank and change the background. Unfortunatley there are the grills for the water to go into the back. Would love to find a moss or something that i can just cover the back with. Any thoughts?

You could get a small piece of lattice that fits the back and painstakingly grow moss on it for a full background. Will probably take a ton of time but look amazing. I think you can do anything you want though if you make an insert you slide in instead of trying to actually do something to the glass itself. Your tank is beautiful though.

  2. maybe make a background out of a cork tile on which you “sew” Java moss with fishing wire?
