Well I guess my betta ruby has got a thing for algae wafers i just feed her before putting in the wafers but is it ok / safe for her to eat its hikari algae wafers

Its mostly fish meal. Unless she becomes constipated or bloated I wouldnt worry

Agree, they’re largely fish meal, the betta will probably be fine. If you want to help avoid this you can feed after lights out. The shrimp will still eat.
