Food saver was the standard now it’s garbage out of the box. I’ve been using Cabela’s for 5 years and the device is great but the bags aren’t worth a damn anymore. Every two years they make the bags worse. I don’t even want to consider a chamber sealer because $$$. But I may have to keep my catch fresh.
Tried a few other brands but there all got garbage it seems. I used to be able to have a perfect seal with no air bubbles last a year now even the premium sealers leave air trapped

Money and greed. It’s always those two. Everything has become outsourced to other countries due to cheap/slave labor. They also start to use cheaper materials (metals get substituted for plastics and plastics for cheaper plastics). All this for a higher profit margin. Welcome to enshitification of everything.
Why don’t you just switch to a different brand of bag? The standard ones are all compatible.
I bought a giant box of those Kirkland signature ones – great bags, really cheap too.
I bought some cheap bulk bags off Amazon and found that I have to seal them twice for them to not leak. If I do that, they’re fine
I bought one off the TikTok shop and it’s great .never had a problem with it i process my own deer meat and fish .
